This Privacy Notice for Showcify (“we”, “us”, or “our”) describes how and why we might access, collect, store, use, and/or share (“process”) your personal information when you use our services (“Services”), including when you:

  • Visit our website at https://showcify.com or any website of ours that links to this Privacy Notice.
  • Use Showcify — a SaaS platform that helps job seekers and professionals create proof-of-work portfolio websites, scan resumes for ATS compatibility, rewrite resumes with AI assistance, and showcase quantifiable career accomplishments to employers and clients.
  • Engage with us in other related ways, including any marketing or events.

1. What information do we collect?

Information you provide

We collect personal information you voluntarily provide when you register, use our Services, or contact us. This may include:

  • Names, email addresses, usernames, and passwords
  • Job titles and billing addresses
  • Contact or authentication data

Card and UPI details are never collected or stored by Showcify — they are entered directly into our payment processor Razorpay’s interface during checkout. See Payment data below for details.

Resume and portfolio data

When you use our AI-powered resume scanning, ATS scoring, or resume rewriting features, you may upload resumes or enter portfolio content containing personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, work history, education history, skills, and professional accomplishments. This data is processed by our AI Service Providers (see Section 6) solely to deliver the requested service.

Sensitive information

When necessary, with your consent or as permitted by applicable law, we process financial data (payment information).

Payment data

All payment data is handled and stored by Razorpay. Their privacy notice is available at https://razorpay.com/privacy-policy/.

Social media login data

You may register using your GitHub, Google, or LinkedIn account. If you do, we receive profile information from that provider such as your name, email address, and profile picture. See Section 7 for details.

Information collected automatically

When you visit or use our Services, we automatically collect:

  • Log and usage data — IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, features used, timestamps, and error reports.
  • Device data — device identifiers, operating system, hardware model, and system configuration.

We also collect information through cookies and similar technologies.

Google API

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Information from other sources

We may collect information from social media platforms (via OAuth), public databases, and marketing partners to enhance our services and update our records.

2. How do we process your information?

We process your personal information to:

  • Create and manage your account and authenticate your identity.
  • Deliver, maintain, and improve our Services.
  • Process your orders and manage payments.
  • Respond to your inquiries and provide support.
  • Send administrative information (service updates, policy changes).
  • Send marketing and promotional communications (with your consent; you can opt out at any time).
  • Deliver targeted advertising to free-tier users.
  • Monitor and prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats.
  • Analyze usage trends to improve our Services.
  • Measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns.

4. When and with whom do we share your information?

We may share your data with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf. We have contracts in place requiring them to protect your data, use it only as instructed, and retain it only as long as necessary.

These third parties include: AI platforms, payment processors, cloud computing and hosting providers, data analytics services, data storage providers, ad networks, sales and marketing tools, social networks, and authentication service providers.

We may also share your information in connection with a business transfer (merger, acquisition, or sale of assets).

We use cookies, web beacons, and pixels to maintain security, save preferences, and support analytics and advertising. Third-party service providers may also use tracking technologies on our Services for analytics and targeted advertising.

6. Artificial Intelligence products

We offer AI-powered features including resume scanning, ATS scoring, and resume rewriting (collectively, “AI Products”).

We provide these AI Products through third-party AI Service Providers, which may include Anthropic, DeepSeek, Google Cloud AI, and OpenAI. When you use our AI Products, your input data and any personal information contained within it will be shared with and processed by the relevant AI Service Provider to deliver the requested service.

All AI data processing is governed by this Privacy Notice and our agreements with these providers. You must not use the AI Products in any way that violates the terms or policies of any AI Service Provider.

7. Social logins

You may register or log in using your GitHub, Google, or LinkedIn account. When you do, we receive profile information from that provider, which may include your name, email address, and profile picture.

We use this information only for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice. We do not control how your social media provider uses your information — please review their privacy notice.

8. International data transfers

Our servers are located in India and the United States. Your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in these countries and in the countries where our third-party providers operate.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), or Switzerland, we protect international transfers using the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. These can be provided upon request.

9. Data retention

We retain your personal information for as long as you maintain an active account with us, unless a longer retention period is required by law (such as for tax or accounting purposes).

When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information from our active databases. Information stored in backup archives will be securely isolated and deleted within 90 days of account deletion.

10. Data security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You should only access our Services within a secure environment.

11. Children’s privacy

We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). If we learn that we have collected personal information from a minor, we will deactivate the account and promptly delete the data. Depending on your location, applicable privacy laws may grant you certain rights regarding your personal information. These may include the right to:

  • Withdraw consent at any time.
  • Not be subject to solely automated decision-making.
